Travelling around Australia in a motorhome. A story of our travels starting from NSW then through Queensland, across to Northern Territory and Western Australia, then to South Australia, Victoria and finally across the seas to Tasmania. We have enjoyed everywhere we have visited and look forward to setting off again in our motorhome.

Umina 29 June – 1 July 2014

After rushing through a 101 last minute jobs, we set off for MacMasters Beach on the Central Coast. Peter's parents had a beach house there for years and there a few repairs needed before we set off for warmer clims. Surprisingly for a holiday area, there were few caravan parks open and none that would take dogs, so we had to sneak Nicky into one that down near Umina Beach. On Monday morning, we drove up to MacMasters and had a look at a water leak. Peter got busy on the phone looking up tilers, while Heather and Nicky had a well deserved break. We had a morning drive around Woy Woy – it doesn’t seem to have changed that much – still flat and boring with monotonous rows of fibro cottages. A living cemetery. We then headed down to Patonga and Pearl Beach, south of Umina. We hadn’t been down there for many years and had forgotten how pretty it was around there. The houses were built right on the beach with their lawns merging onto the sand. We had fish and chips for a late lunch on the water and soaked in the sun. Nicky enjoyed a good run on the dog friendly sand.
