Benarkin 12 August 2013
When we got up in the morning, we discovered that a number of fellow campers had been robbed in the night and fridges and generators had been taken. The people were naturally very upset and called the police but the reality was there was little they could do to recover the goods – left a sour taste in everyone's mouth. Had a walk around town but there were only a few shops open. Drove through a number of small towns and camped at a hamlet called Benarkin, which had a general store and half a dozen houses. The interesting part of the camp site was that there were a number of free power outlets that proved very popular. We decided to stay away from the mob and had our camp site to ourselves.
