Travelling around Australia in a motorhome. A story of our travels starting from NSW then through Queensland, across to Northern Territory and Western Australia, then to South Australia, Victoria and finally across the seas to Tasmania. We have enjoyed everywhere we have visited and look forward to setting off again in our motorhome.

Eidsvold 6 August 2013

Stopped at Eidsvold to do some washing, stew some fruit and make lemon and passionfruit butter with all the fruit we had collected. Eidsvold is a small village that once had a thriving dairy industry, but now relies on beef cattle. Most of the locals we talked to had lived here all of their lives. They told us that the school once had about 350 students but now there is only about 250 people left in the town. There is a small tribute on the edge of the village to R. M. Williams, who lived nearby, which they hope to make into a tourist attraction.
