Travelling around Australia in a motorhome. A story of our travels starting from NSW then through Queensland, across to Northern Territory and Western Australia, then to South Australia, Victoria and finally across the seas to Tasmania. We have enjoyed everywhere we have visited and look forward to setting off again in our motorhome.

National Folk Festival - Arrest that women!

National Folk Festival

We had intended to take a leisurely drive up to Canberra, in time for the National Folk Festival, however on the night before we were leaving, Heather fell over the motorhome steps and broke her hand. We rushed to the hospital and they put a rather rough cast on abd sent her home. Despite her pain, we decided to still head off to Canberra, as we thought she would get better treatment there. However after spending a week rushing all over Canberra trying to get treatment, we felt that the NSW hospital system isn't too bad. By the end of the week, Heather feeling well enough to attend the festival. The National continues to be the biggest folk festival in Australia and we experienced a mindbogglingly array of musical activities. One of the highlights was hearing Harry Manx again - an amazing talent.

Cobargo

Cobargo Folk Festival 24 - 26 2012

Had a quick trip down to Cobargo to attend the Folk Festival. Cobargo is a small village and the festival is held at the showground on the edge of the village. Although it is a small festival,Peter was impressed as there was more room than the Illawarra. While not many new acts, it was very relaxing and easy to to get around. We had a great time and caught up with friends we meet at other festivals.
