We had another look around Bourke in the morning and talked to some of the locals. Although it had many of the same problems as Walgett, they seem to be better handled and the people were more positive. We drove onto Barringun for the night – Barringun consists of a dirty run-down road house and a closed pub, so it was an early night for us, although the sound of the generator kept us awake during the night. While the days are beautiful, the nights are still cold, so we will continue to travel north until it warms up.
