Cobargo 20 – 22 February 2014
Drove straight down to Cobargo and camped at the Cobargo Showground and although there were quite a few people already camping, we managed to find a good spot away from most of the loud music. The Cobargo Folk Festival is a lot smaller than Illawarra, but still a lot of fun. There are 5 venues, all in easy walking distance and if you don’t like the music in a concert you can just wander over to another one. There were a lot of old favourites such as Glover and Sorrensen, Enda Kenny, The Beez and Kerrianne Cox as well as new acts and we enjoyed a great weekend of concerts and workshops. Like all folk festivals, there was a variety of musical genres to enjoy, including folk, blues, country, roots, bluegrass and even a bit of jazz. Peter also relished taking plenty of photos of the musicians and the people enjoying themselves.
