Travelling around Australia in a motorhome. A story of our travels starting from NSW then through Queensland, across to Northern Territory and Western Australia, then to South Australia, Victoria and finally across the seas to Tasmania. We have enjoyed everywhere we have visited and look forward to setting off again in our motorhome.

Maclean 5 June 2013

Had breakfast by the river and then drove straight to Grafton to stock up on supplies and then onto Maclean. We like Maclean, which has succeeded in incorporating modern facilities while mostly managing to retain the charm of yesterday. The exceptions are the always hideous Commonwealth Bank (who must have hired Speers as their chief architect) and a new Hardly Normal store that has imposed garish colours and unsightly décor on a Victorian streetscape – setting a new low Gerry!! Camped just on the outskirts of town by the river and had a peaceful night.
